Work Experience with Freya

Hello, my name is Freya, and I am currently studying Marketing at university. Over the past few days, I have had the chance to complete work experience with the Branding Box team. During this time, I developed my understanding of digital marketing, website management and client communication, whilst also learning how AI can be used strategically within marketing. I also gained a deeper understanding of website accessibility and why it is such an important part of creating positive online experiences.

During my time at Branding Box, I was responsible for sending clients their monthly website updates and creating both short-form social and longer-form website content. I also had the opportunity to write an article for the Branding Box website on the importance of accessible websites, which gave me useful experience in adapting my writing for a professional audience. I particularly enjoyed seeing how different types of content need to be approached depending on the platform and purpose.

One of the most useful parts of the experience was learning how AI can support marketing work when used thoughtfully. This gave me a better understanding of how it can assist with ideas, content and day-to-day tasks while still requiring human input and judgement.

The experience gave me valuable insights into the marketing industry and showed me how varied the work can be from day to day. Being trusted to communicate with real clients and contribute to genuine projects also helped me feel more confident and better prepared for my future career.

I have really enjoyed being part of the Branding Box team and am looking forward to applying what I have learned to future opportunities. Thank you to Richard and the team for making me feel so welcome and for giving me such a valuable experience.
